Academics

From Talmud to Shakespeare, our courses challenge students of every interest and level. Every day we offer more than 250 sections of courses focusing on Judaic and general studies. Combined, the courses provide a well-rounded and intellectually stimulating college preparatory education, helping Academy students develop critical thinking, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
At the Academy, small class sizes ensure that all students receive individual attention and personal guidance from their teachers. That’s why we’re able to tailor the academic course load to each individual—whether a student seeks advanced study on the college level or specialized study. Our distance-learning program—via video conference or virtual online courses—provides students with access to courses and teachers around the world.
The Academy is accredited by the State of Illinois and Cognia. All of our general studies courses are in the English language.
In accordance with 105 ILCS 5/26-1 and 5/27-1, instruction includes the branches of education taught to children of corresponding age and grade in the public schools, including the language arts, mathematics, the biological, physical and social sciences, the fine arts, and physical development and health.
I love that I got the chance to not only grow academically but also grow as a person and a leader at Ida Crown. Because of this, I know that I will be able to thrive in the modern world. I love that my teachers and friends were always there to support everything that I did.
